4. Long Hot Summer Days
(trad) Surprises keeps rolling on. This time it's Davy's turn to become Ladysmith Black Mambazo. What a nice song and what a nice rendition. Maybe even my favourite on the whole box! -- Jore

I found this track on a CD of Alax Lomax's field recordings called 'Afro-American Spirituals, Worksongs & Ballads' and I just fell in love with it. It's sung by someone called Clyde Hill and other convicts from a prison in Texas on the CD. Go listen to it. -- Davy
